Welcome
Today, nearly one million Londoners live within a ten minute walk of our waterways and each year more than sixteen million visits are made to them. The Thames may be the centre of attention, but it is the many rivers, canals, reservoirs and docks which make London such a water city. Since they were constructed over 200 years ago, London's waterways have played an integral part of the economic development and social fabric of the Capital.
