fertility coaching & mentoring

The aim of fertility coaching is not only to achieve pregnancy but to have the healthiest possible baby - at birth and for the rest of it's life.

If you are experiencing fertility difficulties it is ideal to start coaching before aiming to conceive or starting an IVF cycle, this gives us time to work on

  • the practicalities

    • how to approach trying naturally

    • what tests you’ve already had and what they mean

    • what tests you might need

    • if you are opting for IVF which clinic or specialist might suit you best

  • the emotions

    • anxiety and overwhelm

    • the feeling that your body has let you down

    • grief from past miscarriages

  • your general health

    • nutrition to prepare you for conception and pregnancy

    • lifestyle factors that might affect fertility

  • roadblocks you might encounter along the way.

    • finding solutions together to whatever life may present during your fertility journey.

I work with women, couples and sole parents.

fertility nutrition

It is a good idea to have an initial consultation quite early in the planning process so that diet changes can be introduced gradually.  I will usually suggest that you complete a 7 day food diary so that I can make suggestions to benefit hormone balance and support your fertility or IVF cycle. We can then discuss options and plan together how you want to go forward.

fertility acupuncture

Research suggests that fertility acupuncture may help women improve hormone balance, reduce anxiety, reduce BMI, reduce FSH and LH, increase oestrogen, increase ovulation strength and frequency, strengthen luteal phase, and increase blood flow to the uterus to help build the uterine lining.

For men benefits to sperm motility, morphology, and fertilisation rate at IVF have been observed, and it can be beneficial to treat the couple rather than just the woman. The effects of diet on sperm have been well studied.

“I found Liz at a particularly low point in my life while struggling with fertility problems.  She helped me with diet nutrition and emotions and her advice and the acupuncture made me feel so much better.  One of my happiest days was getting the results of my pregnancy test and sharing it with Liz. I cannot recommend her enough”.

"I would not hesitate to recommend Liz to anyone looking for fertility acupuncture. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable and enjoyed her treatments. She has a unique, valuable mix of skills with her background in nursing, women's health, nutrition and TCM acupuncture. I always felt I got more than just an acupuncture treatment from her what with the nutritional advice she gave me to help with hormone balancing and a good chat too! Highly recommended. Thanks Liz."
