New Year starts for young people and adults

You can get on course for success in the New Year with courses starting at Merton College.We have full-time courses, ideal for those aged 16-19, including Engineering, Technology, Health and Child Care. There are also places available on our popular 'Entry to Employment (e2e)' and Prince's Trust programmes.

For those wanting to study part-time day or evening classes, we have a selection including Computing, Counselling and Access to Nursing.

Course of the month - Airline Cabin Crew Certificate

''''''Student'''''Want to work for an airline as a member of Cabin Crew? It is an exciting job with good ''Student''''''''Student''''''opportunities, and obviously lots of travel! Merton College can help. We are running the NCFE Airline Cabin Crew course starting in January 2009. It has been designed with input from the industry and successful completion of the course guarantees students a job interview with Thomas Cooke, Monarch or BMI airlines (students must meet airline criteria).

Teaching is on a Monday, 6pm to 9pm every week for 22 sessions and covers the practical skills and knowledge air cabin crew will find essential. Students learn about the airline industry and consider customer care, health and safety and security in the context of this exciting and challenging role.

New £9m building opens

Our new £9m building opened in September 2007, and is the latest stage in our ambitious project to provide the best facilities for further education in the area.

650 guests joined us at our recent open evening to see the new facilities.

If you are thinking of enrolling for a full-time or part-time course, come along and see us! We are open 8.30 to 4.30, Monday to Friday, for course applications and advice.
