The London Gay Symphony Orchestra welcomes anyone whatever their sexuality.
The Orchestra prides itself on being run by its members, for its members. We have a repertoire committee that chooses the music we play and one of our aims is to develop the talents of all of our members. To that end we hold concerto auditions and composer auditions every year for both orchestra members and non-members alike.
We're ambitious in our aims but welcoming in our outlook. We don't hold auditions but there can be limited space, especially for wind players. Contact us if you'd like to come along to a rehearsal.
Conducted by Simon Bowler, the orchestra celebrated its tenth anniversary at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on London's presitigious South Bank in June of 2006.
If you don't play an instrument but still want to be involved, why not volunteer to help out with front of house on concert days? Or perhaps you have some skills our management committee could make use of. Contact us to see how you could get involved.
