The next Collingwood Recurring Handicap race is on Thur
4 Dec. First starter 7pm. Last week (05/10/08) saw 4 Collingwood runners complete the all new London
to Brighton multi-terrain race. Read their individual stories
of tears and tantrums, joy and heartbreak here. For info on the Club Championships, Handicaps and Age-Graded

the link in the menu above. A revised nominated race list can be found
on this page. The October update has now been posted. Rob Wilson completed his 300th marathon
at Maui last weekend (14/09/08), so congratulations to him for that and
on winning the M70 age group. Results We had a recent visit from John Crameri of Collingwood Harriers
in Melbourne, Australia, who ran as a guest in our handicap race. To find
out what our Australian namesakes are up to, visit the links page. Last week 04/09/08 saw a very successful inaugural Collingwood
handicap race, the first in a quarterly series. The winner was
Kate Knight, beating her handicap time by quite a margin. Results.
The next event will be Thur 4 December. It's that time of year again when you have to dig deep into your pockets
for your renewal subscriptions, but not too deep as they're
as cheap as Allan's aftershave. Collingwood's AGM was held on 6 May. For a list of the

on... We sadly have to report that Collingwood member Colin Wilkie was
killed in a car crash on 20/03/08. Colin will be missed by all his club
colleagues and our sincere condolences go to his brother Tom who was also

Eggheads...more Collingwood 2007 race summary. Andy Stalley has produced
in his spare nanoseconds at work, a helpful summary of marathons
and ultras run by members, and now other
races during 2007. England Athletics took over governance of athletics
in England as of Apr 1. A regional council will be elected to run the
South East region, which is split into 2 sub-regions. Surrey is part
of SSK (Surrey, Sussex, Kent).
