Welcome from the HeadteacherWelcome to our successful and happy schoolMonday 8th December 2008 Non Uniform Day – in aid of World Aids Day - £1.00 Donation
Our community is rightly proud of the school and its successes, from the consistently high performance in public examinations, to the wide range of enrichment activities we offer. As a specialist Science & Mathematics college, we aim to make these subjects accessible and exciting, by introducing students, teachers and our partners in the community, to cutting-edge science, encouraging students to take up scientific careers and training research scientists as teachers. We have the highest ambitions and expectations in all aspects of school life and strive to nurture these qualities in every student. Our young people are treated as individuals and we are strongly committed to equality of opportunity. We want all children to fulfil their potential both academically and socially so that they leave us with the widest range of choices open to them in a changing society. As you would expect, we continue to seek new and exciting opportunities to enrich our children’s lives. As London prepares for the 2012 Games, Preston Manor will continue to uphold the Olympic and Paralympic core values of Respect, Excellence, Friendship, Determination, Courage, Inspiration and Equality. These values complement the school motto, Munus Prae Jure; dating back to the school’s opening in 1938, it can be translated loosely as ‘Responsibility before rights’, or even ‘Do the right thing’. I hope you find this website both enjoyable and informative and are inspired to visit the school in person. I am confident that you will recognise our commitment to making our school memorable by striving for excellence. I look forward to meeting you and your family. Matthew Lantos |
