Change to KS3 assessment arrangements
You will have heard that the national tests in English, Maths and Science are being discontinued. These tests were part of a range of assessments, the majority of which were teacher assessments. The underlying curriculum remains unchanged.
It is important that students know the curriculum, and the plans for teaching them remain unchanged. Their progress and achievement at the end of Year 9 is still being assessed and reported to parents and nationally. It is certain that they will still sit some school-based tests in the summer term as part of this assessment.
Students, as always, should still be aiming to achieve their best and make progress in every lesson.
