Richard Hickox (1948 – 2008)

All of us at City of London Sinfonia - musicians, Board and management team - are deeply shocked and saddened by the death of our founder and Music Director Richard Hickox.  He was both an inspiration and a friend to us all.  Above all he was an extraordinary musician whose love of music was passionate and genuine and it is to him that we owe the tremendous achievements that CLS has accomplished under his leadership.  Our thoughts at this time are with his family who meant so much to him.
