About the Centre
The Surrey Further Mathematics Centre provides teaching of Further Mathematics to students from the region and supports the established Further Maths teaching in our schools and colleges.Register with us - it's free
81 schools and colleges in or near Surrey are now registered or affiliated with us; if you would like to register, you can do so by clicking the link at the bottom of this page.
By registering, you will ensure that you are kept informed of Enrichment Days, Revision Days and CPD opportunities being offered through the Further Maths Centre. You will also receive free access to online resources for Applied and Further Pure A Level modules.
Teaching in Surrey in 2008/9
We currently have students from three different schools in Surrey using the Surrey FMN for their tuition. Some of these students are in a school which does not currently have Further Maths timetabled but is working towards this. The others are in schools which offer Further Maths but the students were unable to attend these lessons due to timetable clashes.
If you are interested in using the FMN for Further Maths tuition, do get in touch with me on the details below.
Support for students
All students have access to the purpose-written Further Mathematics resources website from which they are set work to do. Students also have the opportunity to attend revision days, providing intensive examination preparation, for each module.

UKMT Senior Team Challenge
The Surrey heat of the UKMT Senior Team Challenge was held at Royal Holloway, University of London on Wednesday November 5th. 
Well done to all fourteen schools who competed for making the event such a success.
Finishing third, Strode's College. 
In second place, the team from Claremont Fan Court School.
The winners from Merchant Taylors' School will compete in the national final on Tuesday February 3rd 2009 in London, with prizes presented by Professor Marcus du Sautoy.Posted by:jdavey, Fri 10 Oct
