Welcome ! We work in 3 ways and have over 25 years Teaching & Tutoring experience.

 Firstly, we provide Private & Group Tuition to students of any age.  Abacus Tutors is also experienced in providing Home--education and tailoring lessons to the needs of its students. Studying with us is more efficient than in a "cramming institution" as we work to improve your knowledge and comprehension, so improving your confidence. The Tutees pages should interest those requiring tuition, whilst the New Tutors section should assist anyone wishing to become a tutor.  Established tutors are issued with a Username and Password and will be able to enter the Tutor domain.

Secondly, we provide Training for employees in varying types of business. We can assist with Literacy & Numeracy issues as well as providing Foreign Language lessons.

Thirdly, we are an Umbrella Body for the CRB.  As a Registered Umbrella Body, we are able to process applications for Standard and Enhanced disclosures and apply on behalf of those requiring it for ISA-Registration.  Before the end of 2009, people working with children / vulnerable adults will require registration with the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA). Our clients include companies, charities and tutors.  Please refer to our Business & CRB or ISA Services. Our tutors have Enhanced Disclosures and are expected to be able to make these available for inspection by our clients upon request.

Section 5 details the many types of tuition available, Self-Help for students, Some achievements of past students and Student Security.
