The new Fire Safety Order consolidates all previous fire safety
legislation, with the emphasis on fire prevention through risk assessment.
Fire certificates have been abolished and no longer have legal status. You
must now have a fire risk assessment. Legal responsibility for complying

The Rules

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) order 2005 came into effect on
1st October 2006.
The order relates to fire safety management in all premises that
fall into the categories on the left.
The main change is that responsibility is no longer that of your
