ETHOS

Prostars' ethos is about inclusion and equality. We want everyone who attends our sessions, classes and courses to leave with a positive memory, and we want to create a place where friendships are made and confidence can grow, and from which every visitor leaves with a positive feeling about themselves and sports.

We want everyone to be able to have access to our sessions, and thus offer the highest of standards at affordable prices to all, in safe environments, where children can have fun, learn and develop regardless of ethnic background, disability, gender, ability, religion or sexual orientation.
We end our holiday camps with 'Family Day' when we invite families to come along, have lunch and support their children within the day's sports and presentations, meet other families and bond over common interests.

Prostars put safety as a priority and all our coaches have Enhanced F.A. DBS/CRB, safeguarding and emergency aid certification and all our staff attend regular courses to update their certifications and qualifications.

At Prostars, every child counts! Every person counts!

PROSTARS FOOTBALL SCHOOL - STATEMENT OF AIMS

Statement

Prostars Football School aims to bring a structured and fun form of physical learning and development to all children, both boys and girls, from all faith and cultural backgrounds and allow them to take part in all aspects of our coaching regardless of any physical or mental disabilities at a price that excludes no families on low incomes, while still offering the highest levels of qualified instruction from a trusted and certified team of coaches. Safety and protection of all children is of the highest priority along with physical and mental wellbeing.

Structure

All our sessions are planned following academy guidelines and logged prior to their delivery so that they be appropriate for both the group and each individual’s needs. Participants get one ball/racket per child to allow children to progress at their own pace, while team sharing and social interaction are still encouraged. A strong emphasis is placed on progression to help adopt advancement in their knowledge and learning.

Inclusion Policy

Prostars have a non-exclusion policy (as long as all children and parents abide by our codes of conduct). We openly encourage children from all backgrounds to take part and actively teach them against discrimination and promote social and emotional development. We also try to keep a wide and varied range of coaches made up of both male and female staff from as many ethnic groups as possible.

Professional Staff

Our aim is to offer the best level of qualified coaches with a high level of understanding both in the topics they coach and of the children within the group. Certified qualifications along with ongoing training for all staff is essential to ensure the highest and safest levels of education to the participants. All coaches hold F.A. qualifications, CRB and child protection certification, as well as public liability insurance through the F.A. coaches association.

Safety

Safety is a top priority and risk assessments are carried out on all new venues and prior to all sessions. Child protection best practices are followed and suitable ratio of coaches to children is always observed, equipment is always checked to ensure it is appropriate and meets the standards in terms of purpose and needs. Any child protection alerts are taken with the utmost importance and dealt with based on child protection guidelines advice.

Fun and Education

All sessions are organised to be fun and engaging. No child is forced to perform or participate and is also taught the importance of healthy living and diet, avoiding obesity and anti-social behaviour, with all learning appropriate to the children and their parents.
