Hampton Rangers JFC

We are thrilled to share with you the news of our successful fundraising campaign for a new clubhouse at our training ground. This was a major goal for us last year and we achieved it thanks to the generosity and support of many people and organizations. Here are some of the highlights of how we raised the funds:

• We launched an online crowd funder where people could donate and get a reward in return. We surpassed our goal of £25,000 and got an additional £7,500 from Sports England as match funding.

• We received a generous donation of £2,500 from SporTedd, a local charity that supports sports and education projects in the area.

• We organized a sports memorabilia auction night at Hampton Social club, where we auctioned some rare and valuable items related to sports. We made £3,000 from this event.

• We had amazing participation from our own teams, especially Hampton Rangers Managers Martin and Mel, who led their team in a 3k run around the training ground and collected over £800 in sponsorship. Our Wildcats also did a great job with their sponsored dribble challenge, raising over £300.

Our new clubhouse arrived in time for our End of season celebration in June last year and it is a wonderful addition to our club.

 But our journey didn’t end there. We had another mission: to upgrade our toilets. Enter the remarkable Hampton Fund, which had supported us 20 years ago when we first updated the 5-a-side cage at the training ground. This time, they generously donated £35,000. The Met police followed suit with a £5,000 donation, and Thames Water contributed £1,000. Thanks to this support, we installed brand new toilets with disabled access and baby changing facilities before Christmas.

And just when we thought things couldn’t get any better, Dan from MWH Treatment Works stepped in. His company provided us with a brand new cooker, hob, extractor fan, and coffee machine for the training ground’s cafe. They even installed a new pathway. Overall, our fundraising efforts have been a resounding success! 🎉
