ESSENTIAL KIT

All players attending the camp need to bring their own shin pads and gum shields.

Players will not be allowed to take part without their gum shields or shin pads. Stickwise does not provide goalkeeper kits.

Stickwise can provide sticks for players that don’t have their own.

HOCKEY CAMP STRUCTURE

We always start with a warm up, fun warm up games, drills and games before lunch. Lunch si then followed by further engaging and creative drills followed by games before home time. We may even fit in a little skills competition with the coaches and goalkeepers towards the end of the day.

Many players over the years who have joined the camps as beginners have gone on to join clubs as a result of their Stickwise experience, we have even had a 1st timer at Stickwise go on to play for Great Britain.

We quite often have very young, very shy players who come and don’t want to stay because they don’t know anyone, sometimes we even see some tears. However, thanks to our team of awesome child friendly coaches, we have never had a player not stay for the day and they always come back all excited the next day to see their new friends and their new coach. These players normally go on to become regular campers.
