*The number of grafts that we can extract in a single session is determined by the quality and density of your donor area. We will not over-harvest your precious donor area, and there will be no discernible signs of thinning after your procedure.

Most procedures take between 6 and 8 hours, depending on the number of grafts involved and the complexity of the treatment plan. One thing is for certain. We never rush your procedure, and we only have one patient at a time, so it will take as long as it takes to get the best outcome.

The procedure itself is painless. The surgeon will inject your scalp with local anaesthetic before we begin. We administer baby needles firstly to numb the area before the actual needles these days, so the main injections don’t really hurt much and hardly anybody starts crying. If you’ve ever had a tattoo, then this will be a walk in the park. Can feel a bit raw afterwards, especially in the donor area, but this usually subsides within a couple of days.

We all heal differently but in general terms you’ll be able to feel a bit of fuzz after about 3 months and most of the hair should be visible after around 6 months. It’s common to be a bit underwhelmed with the progress after 6 months, but things will continue to thicken up for the next year or so and you’ll see continued improvement. It is not possible to implant the same density of grafts that you were born with, so it’s important to manage your expectations and not to not allow yourself to fall for any sales patter.

Transplanted hair is guaranteed to grow for life. We take the donor grafts from the permanent zone at the back of your head.

A graft usually contains 2 hairs. Sometimes there is only 1 hair in a graft, and sometimes there are 3.
You will achieve an average of 2.1 hairs per graft. Do not be misled by salesmen claiming that grafts have 4 hairs. These are extremely rare.

An important aspect of any hair transplant is the transection rate. This is the percentage of grafts that are damaged during the extraction process. We examine the extracted grafts under a microscope and if the transection rate rises above 2% we halt the procedure and re-examine our technique and instruments to ensure that we are doing all that we can to protect each precious graft.

You will not average more than 2.1 hairs per graft, despite what you may have heard elsewhere

Hopefully one procedure will be enough. Transplanted grafts will be there for life, but a hair transplant does not stop ongoing hair loss, so ways to keep your existing hair should be discussed. We include long term support to help you to manage any ongoing hair loss.

For patients who are having an FUE procedure, we need to shave the back of the head so that we can accurately extract the grafts.
You do not need to shave the recipient area for hairline procedures, but from the crown it does make it easier to place the grafts if you shave your whole head.

The extraction process is the same for FUE and for DHI – The donor region will need to be shaved

If you are having FUT surgery, you do not need to shave your head.

You will always have a chance to chat with your surgeon and to visit the clinic before booking your hair transplant.

We will coordinate with the medical team to produce an accurate treatment plan to ensure that everything is agreed in advance of your surgery date.

Don’t book a hair transplant without first speaking to the surgeon who will be performing your procedure.

We expect that 95% – 99% of the new grafts will grow successfully.
Sometimes people don’t get a great result for one reason or another, and we are pretty much no quibble when it comes to making amends
Sometimes patients will want to add a little more density to their hairline, and we are always happy to offer these small thickening procedures at a fair price for our existing customers

You will receive comprehensive aftercare instructions and plenty of support during the 2 weeks following your procedure. No strenuous activity for a fortnight, and no touching the new grafts. Lay off the booze for a week, and it’s Netflix with no chill!

You should not go near a sun bed for at least 6 months. In fact, you really shouldn’t go on a sun bed ever again, they are bad for you.

Hair Transplants do not stop the ongoing hair loss, so the majority of patients will also need to take steps to hang on to their existing hair

For crown thinning, If you have a hair transplant but don’t take steps to manage the ongoing hair loss, you can end up with a lovely tuft of hair in the middle of your crown looking like palm trees on the moon.

Rest Assured, We Only Use The Best!

We operate with sterile single use equipment manufactured by Corza Medical.

Sapphire is just a word that is used for marketing and as these blades are used for multiple patients we tend to avoid them.

DHI is another type of FUE procedure that is often touted as the unshaven technique when in reality the extraction process is exactly the same for DHI and for FUE.

Turkey has become a popular destination for hair restoration tourism, with hundreds of hair transplant clinics operating in Istanbul. However, the country’s practice model appears to prioritize low cost over quality.

While magazines such as GQ may present Turkish hair transplants as a great deal, there are several possible negative consequences that are not widely publicized. For example, some clinics may over-harvest donor areas during procedures that range from 3,000 to 4,500 grafts. This can lead to scarring and a lack of sufficient additional hairs for a second procedure when hair loss progresses. In addition, some clinics may create hairlines that are both too low and too dense, which may provide short-term appeal but can lead to aesthetic problems in the future.

Another issue is that hair restoration is often performed almost exclusively by clinics staffed with assistants who have little to no experience and with limited or no physician involvement. As a result, patients may not be recommended preventative therapies or have the progressive nature of hair loss taken into account.

While seeking lower cost hair restoration surgery may be understandable from an economic standpoint, it’s important to be aware of the potential downsides. It’s worth noting that not all clinics in Turkey follow this model, and some offer ethical work. Nonetheless, the hair restoration model that treats surgery as a commodity rather than an art can lead to less-than-ideal aesthetic results, which may require repair to achieve an acceptable appearance.

This holds true whether one travels to Istanbul or visits a local surgeon offering less skilled methods such as “Neo-Graft” hair transplants using a “turnkey” model, where technicians are hired by the day to perform most, if not the entire, procedure.
