Howard & Byrne has an experienced, dedicated and hard working prison law team.
Our specialist solicitors regularly deal with recall cases (both determinate and indeterminate prisoners), all work with regard to life sentenced prisoners including parole board hearings, and prison adjudication in front of an independent adjudicator. We can also assist with sentence calculation and Category A reviews.
Our advocates regularly appear in front of the parole board to argue for an individual's release. We can also advise on judicial review and other related prison law matters.
This area of work has been significantly limited so that only a small number of firms throughout England can provide this advice under legal aid. We are one of these specialist firms and the only firm in North or East Yorkshire. This means that with Howard & Byrne you can be sure you are in expert hands.
As well as our legal aid work we also act on a privately funded basis and have in house video link facilities which means we can arrange an appointment fast and start working on your case. We cover a range of prisons and have links to expert barristers to assist with your case if needed.
