by a Sikh police officer whilst at work. This was a landmark case for Sikh police officers in the UK which evolved into the
creation of a platform for the Sikh community to raise awareness about the significance of the turban both here in the UK
and other countries across the globe. We were subsequently instructed to assist community organisations on the
international legal complexities concerning issues relevant to the Sikh faith including EU regulations and how they impact
upon Sikh travellers crossing borders.
