'twas the night before New Year and all through the house ... well, in fact no power in any kitchen sockets so no fridge or oven. You get the picture. Luke came out at short notice and diagnosed the problem - a broken circuit breaker. Not the sort of thing you can buy on a bank holiday but a temporary patch will hopefully tide us over to the New Year.
