About The Course

The Lakes Golf Course, one of the most popular in Essex, has hosted the prestigious Nick Faldo Challenge as well as regional PGA events over the years.

The course is kept in superb condition all year round and offers a variety of golfing challenges. The gentle undulation of the course makes walking easy and the architecture combines lakes, well placed bunkers, mature and new trees with hedgerows.

Useful Information

This 6,267 yard course (measured from the Silver tees) will put your skills to the test, requiring long drives and accurate approaches. As the name suggests, you will get to enjoy glorious views of our lakes and wildlife as you complete this stunning par 72 course in the scenic Essex countryside.

The Lakes Course at Potters Resorts Five Lakes is one of the finest golf courses in Essex and is sure to delight. Designed by European Tour legend Neil Coles, this 18-hole course guarantees to be a golfing experience to remember that you will want to enjoy again and again.

Captain's Statement

On behalf of Potters Resorts Five Lakes Golf Club I would like to welcome you to our website. We are conveniently located between Chelmsford and Colchester with Tiptree and Maldon just down the road. Over the last year, our course and facilities have had lots of investment from our new owners, and are in excellent condition due to our hardworking green-keepers and new equipment.

The Club comprises active Mens, Seniors, Ladies and Juniors sections who play on an excellent course.

Members have full access to the Club’s Intelligent Golf system to sign-up for competitions, view results (in real-time as competitions are being played) and to monitor their golfing progress. The IntelligentGolf system also keeps members up-to-date on Club activities both golf and social.

I’m very honoured and proud to serve as Potters Resorts Five Lakes Golf Club first lady Club captain. My mantra is to create a continuing atmosphere of friendliness, hospitality, and well-being throughout our facility. All standards and abilities of golfer, from beginner to seniors shall have my ear.
