I rented a house through the property company in London for 4 years and they were awful. Nothing was ever fixed, things which needed to be fixed for insurance to even cover us were never looked at, and at the end of our tenancy they overcharged us for damages eight times the amount which was due, we spent 2 months getting this down to what it should have been.

Wonderful company! Had a wonderful agent, Georgina, working with me and my housemates for the house we are currently in. She was very professional and very responsive, as well as helping us out every step of the process, specially since we are all students. The Property Company is also extremely helpful to international students and have made it possible to have everything done very quickly. Avoid like the plague. Called about a flat I wanted to see and was taken to another one first (which was horrendous) and given the hard sell. Finally took the one I wanted. During my tenancy, the whole building managed by the Property Company suffered numerous boiler breakdowns and we went without heating or hot water for weeks at a time during extremely cold spells in winter. Stayed there for 2 years and made improvements to the place (cleaned, painted, had services installed etc.). Upon vacating the property, I agreed with the letting agent and the new tenants to leave some furniture I didn't need. Was later charged for the removal of these items and my deposit was withheld. Went back to the property to discover none of the items had been removed and the tenant was still using them. Argued over getting my deposit back and they attempted to draw me into a negotiation stating that the carpet was in worse condition than when I had moved in (despite my using rugs to protect it). Went to the deposit protection scheme and found it all so laborious that I gave up rather than draw out a thoroughly unpleasant experience. My neighbours all had similar experiences of the Property Company, particularly in having deposits returned.Unscrupulous, dishonest and thoroughly unprofessional from start to finish. Try to deal with a landlord directly if at all possible.

The Property Company agents are one of the most professional and friendly Estate agents we have ever dealt with. Awful company. Rude and obnoxious post deal and reluctant to return back to deposit - by that I mean just completely fall off the face of the Earth when trying to contact post tenancy. Please if you have any sense, stay well away!

This company is lazy, doesn't do their job, places blame elsewhere, is not accountable, lies and screws over both their tenants and their landlords.They don't want to spend any of their own money to sort out issues in their properties. However, as soon as it's the tenants money they can use they'll feel free to get the top range vip service at your cost so they can fleece you for as much as possible to their benefit.Cost me hours and hours of my time while I was a tenant in one of their properties trying to get them to sort out minor issues that they said they had sorted before I moved in.I will be avoiding in future and would recommend tenants and landlords to do the same.

The process was laid out to me in no way less than i could understand, this was my first rental in a very long time. We have recently rented a house through the Property Company, and are very pleased with the service we have received. Vincent, the negotiator, was friendly and helpful when showing us round the property (quickly correcting a slight mix-up with the viewing time). He gave us plenty of space to look around and then talked us through the paperwork with good humour and patience. In the following weeks, he contacted us just the right amount of times - not with every little question, but saving us the questions and sending them/calling us in one go, which we appreciated. He also helped us understand the referencing process, which was smooth and went well. It was a pleasant surprise how quickly everything went - from viewing to moving in took only about 2 weeks. TPC also gave us a big box of starter supplies - cleaning things, tea and coffee and so on, which was a nice touch. Since we have moved in, things have also gone well. It took a little while to get confirmation of gas safety certificate and the inventory, but understandable given how quickly the move-in went. John, our property manager, has also been quick to answer questions, and when we brought a few issues to his attention, they were resolved very quickly.In short, we can strongly recommend The Property Company for renting a house in North London!

The Property Company was really helpful when I moved, especially Stayth who answered every question I asked him (and I asked him a lot). He got me moved in in record time and I'm now enjoying my flat in Tufnell Park. The only problem is, which I didn't notice when I viewed the property, is that there is no blinds on my windows and it's the middle of summer!

overall the process has been fairly smooth. Arranging the view and signing the contract (with Georgina, great work) was quite pleasant. On the other hand, I have received absolutely 0 support once in the house. The maintenance man (Agi) not once came to help when I needed. On the other hand, the landlords were pretty great. If they get their maintenance support on track this agency will get five stars easily
